Why: This one’s a little different than normal. From the hare “Wankers and Bimbos, I hope you’ve been diligently preparing your legs and your livers for the 2011 TH3 Beer Mile. On Thirstday, August 25th–in lieu of a “normal” hash–the pack will gather at Cal’s (400 S Wells) for a pre-lube before heading over to the Beer Mile course at 7:30pm.
The Beer Mile is the only timed event on the hash calendar. It start with drinking a regulation beer*. Then you run a 1/4 mile lap. Repeat this three times, and you’ve completed your Beer Mile. The one catch, though, is that anyone caught “refunding” any of their beer on the course will be required to run a penalty lap.
As an added bonus, all finishers of the 2011 TH3 Beer Mile will receive a personalized award. Additionally, special recognition will be given to the fastest wanker, the fastest bimbo, and the most glorious refund on trail.

* A TH3 regulation beer is a can, at least 12 oz., with a standard opening. Cans may not be punctured in any way that was not factory designed (i.e., no shotgunning). Beers (or other alcoholic malted beverages) must be at least 5.0% ABV. TH3 will provide regulation beers, but competitors are allowed to increase the level of difficulty. Want to do a Guinness beer mile with their big cans? You may BYO.”
